Beta Sigma Phi Alabama State Convention Days
WHEREAS, in honor of Beta Sigma Phi, the world’s largest Greek-letter women’s service, cultural and social organization, June 6, 7 and 8, 2014, have been designated Beta Sigma Phi Alabama State Convention Days; and
WHEREAS, Beta Sigma Phi is an organization that has grown to include 150,000 members in 9,500 chapters located in more than 15 countries around the world, with many chapters in the State of Alabama; and
WHEREAS, Beta Sigma Phi comprises a group of women who can be credited with having worked for nearly every known charitable, health and cultural organization, raising money and donating their time and efforts to those in need everywhere; and
WHEREAS, the badge of the organization signifies life, learning and friendship by its Greek symbols, Beta Sigma Phi; and
WHEREAS, membership in Beta Sigma Phi is a worthwhile act that benefits its many members around the world, who have formed a lifetime bond of friendship:
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Robert Bentley, Governor of Alabama, do hereby proclaim June 6 through June 8, 2014, as
Beta Sigma Phi Alabama State Convention Days
in the state of Alabama and ask that other Beta Sigma Phi sisters everywhere join with the Mobile City Council of Beta Sigma Phi in saluting Beta Sigma Phi Day.
